About Us

Pegasus wines wishes to introduce you to the wines of Greece and its Islands, particularly Rhodes and Northern Greece. These wines which trace their history back to the age of Greek mythology and the Greek God of wine Dionysus. In the ancient world Greece was famous for its wine production.

We provide the opportunity for our customers to experience the wines they have enjoyed in Greek Tavernas; be in mountain villages, or by the sea, or for the first time to discover the wines of Dionysus and the Greek Gods.

Our founder started the business, importing for wine connoisseurs who wanted to enjoy the best wines of Macedonia the Peloponnesus, and Rhodes. All the wines are carefully and personally selected by our director Emilios Polimos who has extensive knowledge of the wines of Greece and Rhodes.

The range includes Red, Rose and White table wines, the sparkling wines of Rhodes the “Greek champagne” C.A.I.R Brut, Demi Sec and Rose reserve. Dessert wines, in particular Amandia a natural sweet red wine of unusual character.

The distinction of taste and quality found is aided not only by the expert knowledge of the local climates and viticulture held for generations by our growers, but also by the varieties of grapes that are used in the vineyard of our producers. These include amongst others, the modern classics such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Red, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc
